The 10R-1288 delivers diesel fuel under high pressure—up to 2000 bar—directly into the combustion chamber. Fuel supplied by the low-pressure transfer pump is pressurized by internal components until the nozzle opens at a precisely calibrated pressure, atomizing the fuel into fine droplets for uniform combustion. The result is optimized power output and fuel efficiency, together with reduced black smoke, hydrocarbons, and carbon buildup, helping operators extend engine service life while keeping emissions under control.
Installation is a direct replacement following CAT standard alignment, with 40–45 Nm tightening torque, an OEM-recommended fuel rail, fuel-system cleaning before fitment, and OEM-standard calibration. Recommended service intervals include fuel filter replacement every 250 hours and injector inspection every 1000 hours, complemented by scheduled leak checks, fuel analysis at every service, and spray-pattern verification.
